Sustainable development goals: transportation, health and public policy

Purpose This study aims to assess and decompose the sustainable development using 17 goals (SDGs) in Iran 2018, for proposing agenda-setting of public policy. Design/methodology/approach It ranks SDGs not only but also region world reveal synergetic effects. Findings Based on results, subaltern-populace generally suffers from hegemonic domination ruling elite-bourgeois, lack strong institutions, heterogeneous policy networks advocacy role non-governmental organizations, due no transparency, issues law or rule law, stringent regulation, rent, suppression Mafia, all leading corruption injustice. Practical implications To stop loop corruption-injustice, should homogenize structure network. Furthermore, failed three-geographic analysis are same a character; them propose SDG 3, good health well-being as serious goal. Social In this regard, evidence is pandemic Coronavirus, COVID 19 since 2019, its highly-disastrous consequences early 2020 where policymakers could adopt policies promptly glob, particularly Iran. Originality/value Iran, addition this, malfunction rooted “subjective well-being” “traffic deaths,” respectively. Concerning transportations system it underscored that damaging three pillars including, economic, social environmental.
